This presentation reviews the characteristics of the COVID-19 virus, the possible evaluation of the virus and how a virus evolves in nature.  It reviews difference ways that viruses are transmitted and contained.  It defines isolation and protective strategies to contain the virus. Finally,  it reviews the different type of vaccine available and it explains the role of vaccines in preventing future pandemics.
