Hypnotherapy is a technique that uses hypnosis (a state of focused attention) in combination with various therapies such as talk therapy to create perspective shift away from what does not support the individual towards one that does.  It works closely with the subconscious mind to create these effects quickly and long lasting. Regarding Insomnia, Hypnotherapy aims to reframe negative thoughts or habits surrounding sleep into positive ones.  Some studies have shown that Hypnotherapy can improve sleep for people with Insomnia, especially when combined with other therapies. This course will prepare nurses with a better understanding of the science behind the practice.


Is there a role for hypnotherapy in treating insomnia?:

This course is approved for 1 Nursing Contact Hour. You must complete the module to get your certificate. You will have a 10 question comprehensive post test at the end. You must acheive a passing score of 70%. You can retake the test as many time as you want. Remember, each course has a PDF download and questions are based on the the content in the PDF.
